Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. (OTCBB:VEND<\/a>) proved that despite the corrections, the ticker still has upward potential. The last two days of the week came with rising volumes, as VEND<\/a> added more than 9% on Monday, reaching $3.25 on dollar volumes of $1.74 million. \"VEND1125.png\" <\/p>\n

VEND<\/a> is supported by a recent for-free promotional email, along with the piling up of press releases. Pre-market, VEND<\/a> made a bid for a winning Monday by showing up with a new press release on upcoming franchises in Florida. The company, which marked revenues from its own machine distribution, will now contract a franchisee for up to 60 vending machines. It would be a wait-and-see how far the real materializes, and how many machines achieve sales for VEND<\/a>. \"WTER1125.png\"<\/p>\n

And all through the hard-earned success of VEND<\/a>, investors’ forums mark the effect of paid paper mailers circulating right now, propping up the stock price. Despite this, investors’ forums seem to be enjoying the upward trend, no matter what causes it. And VEND<\/a> has a good enough concept to attract attention even outside the promotional effort.<\/p>\n

Now, for VEND<\/a> it is a race against time to prove that its business model can outlast the hype and the overly-inflated stock price.<\/p>\n

And here is what happens to less- prepared companies that jump in the fray too early. The Alkaline Water Co., Inc. (OTCBB:WTER<\/a>) did its best to convince investors that its distribution would be wide and profitable, yet the most of the heavy lifting for the share price was done by the paper and emails promotion. So WTER<\/a> remained to hover sideways, eventually sinking to its current lower range around the 30-cent levels.<\/p>\n

Lot78, Inc. (OTCBB:LOTE<\/a>) also had a pure-play concept, and some distribution successes of its fashion line. But the paper mailer inflated the stock beyond sustainable levels, and LOTE<\/a> has now slid more than 99%, trading within relatively wide daily ranges.<\/p>\n

If you want to wait out and see how VEND<\/a> does, small cap shares offer a unique opportunity, especially when trending upward. But you need to be prepared for the potential setbacks, as with the correction last week.
