Buying for Endeavor IP, Inc. (OTCBB:ENIP<\/a>) was a bit more subdued on the last two days of the week, though the ticker added another 2.5% to its price, reaching $1.21. Trading volumes were a bit above $424,000, keeping up well despite the fact that the last promotional email came in on November 6th. The company, boosted by a $1 million promotional campaign, is also enjoying a buzz on social networks, as well as a robust investors’ forum presence. A big number of the forum’s messages repeat the PR hype of the company, and thus the spirit of optimism is suspect. The main attraction point for ENIP<\/a> is a mention of a target price of $3. Also, the company has started a number of lawsuits on patent infringement. But beware- until ENIP<\/a> marks success for any of those lawsuits, it all remains in the field of possibility. And this potential is touted as what a smart investor would select.<\/p>\n

A new week would show if ENIP<\/a> will survive a bit longer, and if indeed it would manage to climb to $3 before investors grow panicked and sell. Remember that ENIP<\/a> prepared well, with a 14-for-one reverse split in September, and started sending PR messages even before the email campaign.<\/p>\n

Even for companies that have almost everything going right, the lack of a promotion leaves the shares directionless. This was the case of Biozone Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (OTCBB:BZNE<\/a>), which promised to spike high above $1, but retreated quickly, currently around 69 cents, with selling happening as soon as the ticker conquers a better level. So far, BZNE<\/a> may be a long-term potentially lucrative stock, but right now it is offering a dizzying short-term ride.<\/p>\n

Speaking of promoted OTCBB tickers, the higher stock tier does not guarantee that your investment won’t be wiped out, just as efficiently as through a sub-penny risky selection. In the case of the Alkaline Water Co., Inc. (OTCBB:WTER<\/a>) the end of the promotion brought a permanent stagnation around the 50-cent levels. Montalvo Spirits, Inc. (OTCBB:TQLA<\/a>) slid down in the past months, to below 30 cents.<\/p>\n

If you still want to test the waters with ENIP<\/a>, the $1 million campaign is hardly worn out with just two emails, so the ticker may receive a new boost. Though it is still best to be aware of possible corrections and avoid investing unaffordable sums.<\/p>\n
